Bible Bingo games are a great way to fill a lesson, review books of the Bible, or just have fun! Bible Bingo games can be used with a couple of kids OR a huge class and are enjoyed by kids of many different ages. These Bible games can be played at church, in a classroom, or at home.
I love Bible Bingo games because, once the cards are printed and cut (and laminated for durability!), I have a no-prep game that lasts for years. I love the peace of mind that comes with knowing I have a Bible game I can quickly pull out if the class hour goes a little longer than my lesson or if the weather turns bad and I can’t get my kids outside as planned.
These games also allow kids to have fun while actually learning and reviewing important Bible facts.
Bible Bingo games are perfect for:
- a last minute Sunday School activity
- to play at home with your kids during Homeschool Bible class
- a church potluck activity
- a church messy table activity
- to use at a party or in Bible class at Christian School
- a Bible Club activity or game
- having fun as a family
- or to make and give as a Gift
How to Play Bible Bingo Games:
Bingo is simple to play. Each participant gets one Bingo card and some Bingo markers. (I prefer to use buttons as markers. You could also small squares of paper, pennies, paper clips, or small plastic game markers of any kind.)
The teacher or leader will mix the character cards, then randomly draw a character from the pile or from a bowl. They will read off the name of that character. Everyone who has that character on their cards will place a bingo marker over that picture. Not all cards have every character, and the character shows up in different places on different cards. The leader then draws a new character card and play continues.
The first participant to cover four squares in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins the game.
You may choose to play again, having kids choose different bingo cards and remixing the character cards to draw from.
If your students are familiar with the Bible characters or Bible books, you may draw a character card, then give the kids a hint about the character. See if they can call out the name before you do, then cover the correct character. For example, “I met Jesus by a well.” – “Samaritan Woman!”
