Are you looking for an inexpensive but enjoyable craft to help your children learn Bible verses? This Bible verse door hanger craft is a fun way to do just that!
Bible Verse Door Hanger Craft Materials:
Washable children’s paint
Paint brushes
Wooden Door Hangers (80 cents for one at Hobby Lobby)
Markers (We used Sharpies, but any kind of marker will work)
Scrap paper to protect the work surface
Bible Verse Door Hanger Craft Directions:
1. Spread the scrap paper over your work surface. Have your child paint a background on the door hanger. Let it dry thoroughly.
2. Write (or have your child write) the verse on the center of the door hanger.
3. Encourage your child to finish decorating the door hanger with designs around the verse. Let all of the paint dry thoroughly before handling.
This is a great activity to help visual learners memorize Scripture. One of my daughters struggles a bit with memorizing. She was so excited to tell me that she could say the verse all by herself by the time she finished painting her door hanger. This is also a great way to keep God’s Word in front of our eyes throughout the day.
