I love helping my kids make bookmarks because bookmarks are a super easy craft to make. All you need is the printed template, scissors, and crayons or markers if desired!
Plus, bookmarks can be made more complicated or easier, depending on your age group.
While young kids will enjoy cutting the bookmarks out with safety scissors or even just coloring, older kids can cut the bookmarks out and glue them to sturdy colored paper, add a tassel, or even decorate with glitter or colorful tape.
And, of course, the bookmarks are ALWAYS better when they are laminated after your kids have finished coloring them. (My little portable laminator is always a big hit when I take it into my Sunday School class. My kids are so excited to get their own colored pictures laminated!)
Valentine’s Day Bible Verses
These bookmarks with Valentine’s Day Bible verses feature four different Bible verses:
- 1 John 4:7 – Dear friends, let us love one another because love is from God…
- 1 John 4:11 – Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.
- John 3:16 – For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- John 13:34 – I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.
These bookmarks with Valentine’s Day Bible verses come in SIX different Bible versions – CSB, ESV, KJV, NASB, NIV, and NKJV. Simply choose which Bible version you prefer when you print the bookmarks!
Best part? Your kids can put the completed bookmarks in their Bibles. They will be able to review Bible verses about God’s love and be reminded of how much God loves each of them each time they open their Bibles or any book they are reading!

Directions for the God’s Love Bookmarks:

Have your kids cut the bookmarks out along the outer edge.
If you printed the bookmarks in black and white, have your kids color them.

Our memory verse for the month of February is John 3:16. This is a good activity they can use not just for the month of February but something they can use through out the year to remind them.
