New Testament Wordsearch Activity Page for Kids: Are your kids up for a challenge? Have them find the books of the New Testament in this wordsearch.
As a Bible teacher or parent, you want your kids to love reading and exploring God’s Word. You want them to be able to find favorite Bible stories, re-read comforting verses reminding them of God’s promises, and confidently look Bible passages up in church and at home.
But, in order to do this in a physical Bible, your kids will need to know the books of the Bible in order. And, for many kids, that will start with the books of the New Testament.
One of the challenges of helping kids memorize the books of the New Testament in order is that the names of the books are unfamiliar. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are easier, but Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians? Your kids may feel like they are trying to memorize words they don’t even know.
Here’s a great way to help your kids become familiar with the names of the Books of the New Testament – a New Testament Wordsearch!
This free New Testament Wordsearch features the names of the books of the New Testament in order. Your kids can work down through the list, finding each book name in the wordsearch puzzle.
They’re not finished when they’ve found all the names, though! Once they find the names of the books of the New Testament, they can use the remaining letters in the puzzle to discover a secret message!
The hidden message says, “…But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31
It is so important for kids to become familiar with the books of the New Testament so they can easily find Bible passages for themselves. Ultimately, though, we don’t want more “Bible knowledge” for our kids. We want them to come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior so that they may have life in His name.
I hope and pray that this free New Testament Wordsearch Activity Page will help you as you share a love for God’s Word with your kids.

I am a missionary to sexually abused and sex trafficked girls age 11-17 who are in a trauma treatment facility. I teach a new believers and seekers course that I use these to help teach them. They love them and it makes my work a more quality of a work to reach them interactively. Most are very behind in school and reading.
May God bless you for your work! This is such an important and difficult ministry. May God be with you and with these precious girls. – Anna Joy

I am a Pastor’s wife, Secretary, Praise and Worship leader and a Sunday School teacher. We are just starting our Outreach and I need help. We are a small congregation and so we don’t have helpers right now but I believe they are on their way so in the meantime I am trying to fill in the shoes best I can and I believe this is going to be a big blessing when it comes to Sunday School!

Thanks for the New Testament Word search. I’m going to use it in my Sunday
SCHOOL Class for Early Arrivals.
Thank you for this word search. I teach 3rd and 4th graders in Sunday school, and this will be an added “plus” to my curriculum. Do you have one for the Old Testament?
I don’t yet, but I will put that on the list for future downloads. 🙂
Thanks for the download. I plan to use it as a fill in, when the Sunday School lesson is too short. Great to have for such occasions.
