Your kids will love making this “God Loves Me” Mini Book that includes real, turning pages and pop-ups. And, you will love an easy, no-prep craft project that prints on just two sheets of paper per student!
This mini book Bible craft is great to use at home, in a classroom, or at church – anywhere you are teaching kids about God’s love or want to help them review Bible verses about God’s love! You can print the mini book in full color for a super easy-to-make booklet or print it in black and white outline so your kids can color their own.
To make this “God Loves Me” Mini Book, you will need one copy of the printable pages for each student (you choose color or black and white). You will also need safety scissors for each student, glue or tape, and crayons, colored pencils, or markers if desired. That’s it! No running to the store to buy additional craft materials.
How to Make the God Loves Me Mini Book Craft with Bible Verses about God’s Love
Print the pages in full color OR black and white, singles sided.
Cut out the mini book template along the dark outer lines around the exterior.
Fold the mini book along the vertical center line so that the pictures are on the outside. Unfold. Fold along the same vertical center line so that the pictures are on the inside. Unfold.
Flip the page over so that the blank side is facing up, then fold the edges toward the center line as pictured below. Unfold.
Fold the mini book along the horizontal center line, so that the pictures are on the outside. Unfold.
Refold the mini book along the vertical center line so the pictures are on the outside. Cut the mini book through both sides along the solid black line, starting at the fold. Do not cut the dotted lines. Unfold.
Refold the mini book along the horizontal center line so that the pictures are on the outside. Push the book together so that the center pages pull away from each other. (See picture below.)
Fold the pages into place, making sure that the front cover of the mini books is on the outside front.
This is what your mini book should look like!
Cut out the images on the second page.
Choose one of the numbered images (ovals with children in them) to glue or tape to the front of the book.
Use the letters to glue or tape the other images and flaps into the mini book. Fold the images along the dotted lines and tape the letter “flaps” to the corresponding letters in the mini book.
Once the flaps are dry (if you are using glue) or taped into place, you can open the flaps to read the verses behind them.
The boy holding the sign image will fold down flush with the top of the mini book so your kids can close the mini book without the boy’s sign sticking up.
